Our Lemon Ginger Herbal Bath Soak may provide support for colds. The ginger root naturally warms the body, while the lemon peel and lemon balm possess antibacterial, antiviral, and antimicrobial properties designed to ward off illness. The combination of the lemon and ginger produces a powerful bath soak which could possibly ease symptoms of the common cold and may potentially shorten the length of your illness. This soak is available in a small (4 oz), medium (8 oz) or large (16 oz) mason jar. All sizes come with a cotton muslin bag.
To use, simply add between ⅛ to the muslin bag and pull closed. If for a child between the ages of six and twelve, you should halve the amount of mixture used. Then, place the bag in the bathtub while it fills with warm water. For ease of use, you can even hang the bag under the faucet as it runs. After your bath, let the bag dry completely before emptying it for reuse. If ⅛ cup seems insufficient after the first use, adults may use up to a ½ cup of the mixture in subsequent uses.
As with our other bath soaks, do not add water to mixture inside mason jar. Place used herbs in the garbage, or the compost bin. Stay hydrated when using this product. You should not exceed 30 minutes in the bath with this soak. This product is not suitable for children under the age of six, and this product should be kept away from the eyes. Ginger may interact poorly with certain medications, including warfarin and medications for diabetes and high blood pressure, so individuals taking those medications should not use this product without consulting a physician. Women who are pregnant should exercise caution when using this product and should not use more than 2 grams of dried ginger a day. Ginger may increase the risk of bleeding.
